About Albert Chan
Albert Chan, MD, earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. He then went on to complete his residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Chan then completed a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester, New York.
Dr. Chan joined the University of Florida faculty as an assistant professor in the department of pediatrics in 2018. His current research focuses on the childhood progression of eosinophilic esophagitis and pediatric inflammatory bowel disease. His clinical interests include treatment of conditions such as abdominal pain, abdominal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease and other gastrointestinal diseases.
Dr. Chan is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is board-eligible in gastroenterology. He is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
