About Donald A Novak
Donald Novak, MD, attended medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa and received the Dean’s Award for outstanding graduate in 1981. He completed a pediatric internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, followed by a pediatric residency at USF, where he served as chief resident in 1984. His fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology was completed at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio. Dr. Novak is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and joined the University of Florida faculty in 1990. He is currently a Professor and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs, Quality and Safety in the Department of Pediatrics and the Assistant Dean for Clinical Informatics at the UF College of Medicine. Dr. Novak’s clinical interests are focused on pediatric nutrition and obesity in children.
